KRFI January competition: Terms and conditions

  1. The Organiser of this competition (‘the Competition’) and Data Controller for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’) and other applicable data protection law is Kent Reliance for Intermediaries, trading name of OneSavings Bank plc, registered office at Reliance House, Sun Pier, Chatham, ME4 4ET (‘the Organiser’). Any correspondence in relation to the Competition should be sent to the following address: FAO Lisa Coombes, The Observatory, Dock Road, Chatham Maritime, Chatham, ME4 4AF.
  2. The Competition is open only to individuals over the age of 18 years who are currently working in the United Kingdom as mortgage brokers.
  3. If more than two entrants from the same broker company win, the Organiser reserves the right to redraw a replacement winner.
  4. Entries will only be accepted if the Competition answers have been submitted by a maximum team size of 6 people.
  5. The Competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary to enter the Competition, however internet access is required.
  6. The Competition will open at 8am on Monday 20th January 2020 (the ‘Opening Date’) and close at 8pm on Monday 27th January 2020 (‘the Closing Date’). Entries received after that time will not be considered.
  7. The Organiser does not accept responsibility for entries not submitted due to a technical fault of any kind.
  8. Three prizes are available:
    • First place – £500 restaurant choice vouchers;
    • Second place – £250 Just Eat takeaway voucher; and
    • Third place – food and drinks hamper (together the ‘Prizes’)
  9. Entrants should refer to the terms and conditions (see below) of the Prize provider before entering the Competition. The Organiser is not responsible for the contents of the hamper or any issues relating to the booking or use of the Prize.
  10. The Organiser reserves the right at its absolute discretion to reject any entries if they are deemed to be inappropriate or offensive by the Organiser.
  11. To enter the Competition, entrants must:
  12. If an entry is not submitted in accordance with paragraph 10 above, it will be rejected and will not be entered into the draw.
  13. The first, second and third Prizes will be selected from all valid entries with the correct answers between the Opening and Closing Date by using a computer process that produces verifiably random results.
  14. Only one entry per team can be submitted. Multiple entries from the same team or individuals of that team will be disqualified.
  15. The winners will be notified by email no later than the 10th February 2020 and must provide a postal address. Each team is only entitled to one of the Prizes. The Prizes will be hand delivered to the winners or sent to the postal address provided by the winners. Should a winner fail to provide their delivery/postal address within 14 days of being contacted by the Organiser, the Prize will be forfeited and the Organiser shall be entitled to select an alternative winner.
  16. All teams who fulfil the criteria detailed above at paragraph 10 will have an equal chance of winning the Competition.
  17. Entries received from teams who include individuals who are not over the age of 18 years and are not currently working in the United Kingdom (excluding Scotland and Northern Ireland) as a mortgage broker will not be eligible to enter the Competition and will not be entered into the draw.
  18. The Prizes may not be exchanged for cash or any other payment or discount and are not transferable.
  19. The Organiser’s decision on all matters relating to the Competition is final. No correspondence will be entered into about such decisions.
  20. The Competition is not open to employees of the Organiser, or any of their families.
  21. The Organiser reserves the right to terminate or suspend the Competition at any time without notice.
  22. By entering this Competition, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions and consent to the processing of their personal data (name, email, business postcode, business name and occupation) by the Organiser in accordance with its obligations pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection law for the purposes of the administration of the Competition and the Organiser’s own marketing activities.
  23. The individual members of any winning team agree to the use of his/her name and/or business name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. If any winner wishes to withdraw their consent for use of their name and picture for this purpose at any stage, they should contact the Organiser at updates@kentrelianceforintermediaries.co.uk. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion may be passed on to third party suppliers only insofar as required for fulfilment/delivery/arrangement of the Prize.
  24. The winners name will be available 14 days after 27th January 2020 by emailing the following address updates@kentrelianceforintermediaries.co.uk.
  25. All entry instructions form part of these terms and conditions.
  26. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the Prizes to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
  27. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising in relation to the Competition.
