The categories for The British Mortgage Awards 2017 have been announced and we would be delighted if you could take a moment to nominate us for one of the below categories.

Focused solely on the intermediary sector and renowned for its flexibility and underwriting expertise, Kent Reliance has continued to deliver innovation through its BTL mortgage range this last year. We introduced 5 year fixes stressed at pay rate and were the first lender to allow applicants to move seamlessly from sole to LLP status, thereby extending access to its Ltd Co. proposition and equalised pricing for Ltd company loans with personal BTL. We also became the first BTL lender in 2016 to offer different ICR’s dependent on customer experience and transaction type, which moved the entire market onwards from providing a standard one size fits all approach. Kent Reliance was also the first specialist BTL lender to recognise the value and expertise brokers bring to client relationships by offering retention proc fees across the entire range.
We continued to demonstrate our thought leadership by issuing the BTL Britain Report (December and June) and the highly regarded UK Tax Changes Report, produced in conjunction with Ernst & Young, to provide brokers with valuable insight into the market.

Steve Seal has led and developed the national account distribution strategy for Kent Reliance since joining the bank in 2016. Steve has established strong relationships with all distribution partners and significantly enhanced Kent Reliance’s distribution – extending our reach across the intermediary community.
Steve has also restructured the Kent Reliance sales team, recruiting top quality talent from across the industry to create a dedicated corporate account team and a team of Business Development Managers who now cover all parts of the UK. This has enabled Kent Reliance to build robust relationships with its key partners, supporting the growth of their businesses by providing innovative and bespoke solutions to their clients borrowing needs.
Leading the entire Kent Reliance sales team, Steve has ensured consistency of service and professionalism through all of its distribution partners throughout the UK. His experience and expertise provides Kent reliance’s specialist mortgage partners with invaluable support and has further enhanced the specialist lenders commitment to the intermediary channel, ensuring its proposition is seamless across our UK network.
Lender: Business Development
The Kent Reliance Business Development team is dedicated to providing personal and specialist account support to our partners, and continually strive to enhance broker interaction. Our BDMs are true relationship managers who manage all aspects of the application journey. We only employ BDMs with suitable industry and account management experience and ensure that our brokers benefit from direct access to our dedicated broker team and senior decision makes to ensure quick decision making.
